baseball

I am trying to get tickets to see a Yankees game here in New York.
Baseball is something that I am very very new to. As much as I enjoy a good overcrowded, passionate, hot, drunken, sticky, raucous football game (or orgy for that matter) I know nothing about baseball. But I started watching the sport last year and now I like it. A friend of mine is challenging me for free tickets. I am to impress him somehow with Yankees baseball knowledge and I will get free tickets. On that note, any knowledge you can provide at this time will be much appreciated.

furthermore, I would like to go ahead and publicly ignore any comments Amanda or her bitches have regarding yankees, balls, bases, knowledge, challenges, game, bats, players, free, and tickets.

Thanks,
batter up.

B-days.

Did everyone tell Roger Lamar happy birthday?
Happy Birthday Roger!!! We all love you! (ignore the smart ass remarks that are sure to follow from Wendy and Amanda.)
Also, a big Happy Birthday to my sister Tara Bouchie! That’s right, call her, Joe. Its her last single birthday. boo hoo.

So pull out your best happy b-lated cards and give your old friend a smack on the cheek and a pat on the back. Everyone loves turning older!

also, lets all start RSVPing to Laura’s birthday party retreat on sunday June 5th in Springfield. It’ll probably be the only way too see me when Im in Louisiana unless you come to Laura’s house in NOLA before that. Anyway, tons of fun AND in the middle of nowhere so that the world isnt offended by our ridonkulousness. or the other way around.
seriously. put it in your date books.
There’s lots of empty space im sure.

almost famous….

I waited on my first celebrity tonight at work. It was only a B list celebrity, but its better than yours. His name is Matt Lillard, but you might know him from the part of Shaggy in the recent “Scooby Dooby Do” movie. Or as the character who couldn’t dance in “She’s All That.” Or (this is for the computer geeks) he was the weird hyper guy in um….that movie with angelina jolie…”Hackers.”
so, anyway.
He walks in and sits at my bar to watch the game. I saw who he was and ignored him, mainly cuz I couldn’t remember his name. Or really never knew it. B lister. anyway, after a while I told him the food tastes better than the menu so he should try ordering. That was the beginning of our hour and a half long friendship. He got treated like a normal person, I got a 40 percent tip. All is good.
Here are some highlight quotes from the conversation:

M - bourbon? That’s not too classy.
B - this from the guy sipping on a michelob ultra.

M - What’s the drinking age in New Orleans? 13?
B - we play it buy ear, as long as you can see over the counter. otherwise your parents have to hand your drink to you..
M - Ha! That’s a good one.
B - … ok.

M - I left you nothing (on the tip)
B - You’re the worst customer I’ve had all night.

no really. he was a pretty cool guy.
peace out homies. you can all have my autograph in a few weeks.
